iMONITRAF! Annual Report 2022

After the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, traffic volumes are back to the levels of 2019 and with them the pressure to develop effective and joint solutions to set stronger incentives for modal shift and to ensure that the Alpine regions can become a model for decarbonising road freight transport. Throughout the year 2022, the iMONITRAF! network has used its expertise to support a more ambitious implementation of policy measures and to ensure that Alpine needs are considered in the revision process of the TEN-T Regulation as important interface with EU decision making as well as the Simplon Alliance. In addition, the new set of target indicators offers a new tool for evaluating the progress in reaching relevant transport-related objectives.

More information on this new set of target indicators and on the other comprehensive networking activities at EU and national level are summarized in the Annual Report 2022. It also gives an overview on recent Best Practices related to freight and passenger transport, on relevant transport and environmental indicators and sets the agenda for further discussions. We invite you to take a look at this Annual Report to keep you up-to-date on developments of the network.
